Wireless Security Alarms use an 'all in one' base station to control the alarm. It is not a good idea to locate it near an entry door where the intruder can have easy access to it. The more secure installation will locate the base station in the master bedroom or back office away from the door. A wireless keypad will then be located near the entry door to allow for easy entry/exit. If the intruder should attack the wireless keypad the control base station can still make it's call for help.
